Hi,doc!magandang hapon.favorite food ko sinigang at tortang giniling.pati pasta.favorite color ko blue.ive been working here in emirates optical dubai,since 2006 up to present.ive been here in the UAE for the past 12yrs.i was born june.7,under the sign of gemini.still single and no kids.hobbies ko pag hindi busy pasyal pasyal sa mall at sa ibang place din.makinig lng sa music.

I chose to become an optometrist because i was initially fascinated by it.Being a myopic patient myself,it gave me an opportunity to help others gain their clear vision.And the smiles and gratitude and relief they give are heart-warming enough for me to be proud of this profession on a daily basis.

Dr. Jean Joan Jatico O.D.

Being an obedient daughter,  I took Doctor of Optometry to fulfill my father's wish. It was architecture or fine arts that my heart was into but my father discouraged me. He said Davao City has already its renowned architect (my father had such big plans for me). In the long run I learned to love my course because apart from the immeasurable fulfillment it gives me as a frontliner in the medical field, I love Optometry beause I can incorporate the artistic side of me in my work. I like anything that has something to do with arts.

At present my boss who is also the owner of the optical shop I'm working with rely on my  novice expertise to do the front window display and the showcase of both the medical frames and sunglasses in our mainshop. And whenever I am transfered to another branch,  I always get a positive feedback when I do a "makeover" in the shop, after all Optometry is both a science and art of examining the human eye 🤗🤗😚😚☺. And it's a bonus for me to be compensated on it apart from my monthly wage 😋.

Currently I am working in Gulf Optik Store for 10 years now. Considered to be a senior optometrist in the company. It's the first company I have worked with and most probably the last.

Dr. Vilma Sunga O.D.

I arrived here in July 8, 2006 😉. It was my mother's drean that I'd be a doctor but due to financial restraints, we couldn't afford it. I saw the list in CEU "Doctor of Optometry" and I knew I had a chance in fulfilling my mom's dream. Coming from the province, it was the first time I heard about the course, and I fell inlove with it ever since.  I have 2 children; my daughter is 18 yrs old and my son is 16 yrs old. My hobby is cooking.

I graduated year 2000 from Centro Escolar University. After graduation, I worked in the Philippines for 5 years. It was around year 2005 when I went to Dubai.  I'm  working in Dubai Optical for 8 years now. Favorite Food? all filipino dishes, and also pasta. 

Dr. Mertz Mercado O.D.

 I’m working in al ain at Delma Optical (3yrs) Emirates Optical (4yrs) sharjah at I've been working at Home optics (5yrs). I have 2 kids ( 1boy1girl) I have 3 grandchildren. I choose to become an optometrist so I could help people, starting withmy family, and teach them how to use and to take care their beautiful eyes like me. My hobbies dancing, cooking , eating . My favorite food is  seafoods.

I've been working here abroad since 2009. Why optometrist? Mother side of the family has optical business then I was encouraged to pursue Optometry by my parents. No regrets, I love my profession and I'm proud to be one. I love the challenge of improving ones eyesight even with refraction alone. I am also a mother of  2 lovely boys. Hobbies? I like cooking

Dr. Hans Yu O.D.

Been here in Dubai almost 10yrs from now .Why i choose to become as Optometrist is that idealism from my father & reason is that my sister having degenerative myopia that ends -18.00 diopters with -4.00 cylindrical at the age of 18 yr old but later goes by -11.00 -2.75 . I am working with Magrabi Optical, and I have 1 son . My hobbies, surfing the net , downloading latest movies online , compiling series of movies collection , Playing Ps4 , Playing Billiards , Updating awareness of society global thru internet and social media .

I have only 1 kid,  a boy Hobbies include watching movie, reading and food trip. Why optometist? Because want to follow the footstep of my father 😊
